About
A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE
KaiserAir dates back to 1946 when it was established as the flight department of industrialist Henry J. Kaiser’s family of companies. With global operations in ship building and construction, the Kaiser companies relied heavily on a flight department that had extraordinary safety standards and was also able to perform complex missions at a moment’s notice.
Henry was a perfectionist, who instilled standards of excellence that are still deeply infused in our corporate culture today. “Thinking Big” was one thing Henry was known for, which was a concept that even applied to the flight department. This was his thinking when he came up with the idea for the HK 1 Hercules that was intended to ferry large numbers of combat troops in World War II… this aircraft later became known as the Spruce Goose (the H is for Hughes and K is for Kaiser!).
Thinking Big is still a part of our culture as we have started the first airline to be based at Oakland International Airport in over 50 years - something very big indeed.
And that tradition lives on: after 65 years in the aviation business, we have maintained a perfect safety record. We pay equal attention to safety and security at the highest level, while at the same time providing the personal service that makes it a pleasure to fly with KaiserAir.
Our clients have included former U.S. Presidents, royalty, and top celebrities as well as Fortune 500 executives who appreciate our safety, our security , and our detail-oriented service.
