KaiserAir Opens NiCad Battery Service Shop at Oakland North Airport

OAKLAND, Calif. — KaiserAir, Inc., the largest management company for business jets in the San Francisco Bay Area, is adding NiCad battery services to its full line of maintenance services available to owners of business jet aircraft.

The battery shop is complete with an Aviall analyzer load bank and ADAS (Aviall Data Acquisition System) that will provide customers with an instant analysis and guaranteed performance check. Following inspection main ship NiCad batteries can receive a top charge or deep charge with true readings of all cells.

As many as 12 batteries can be serviced at the same time. At KaiserAir, a printout of the battery tests is available when each battery is bench-tested. Also, a trend analysis and service history of every battery is stored in the computer.

KaiserAir’s battery shop is only one of two in California with complete capabilities for servicing jet aircraft NiCad batteries. The shop is operated by two technicians qualified by Aviall. To arrange service for NiCad batteries, contact Cliff Lofthouse via telephone (510) 553-8447, fax (510) 569-5890, or e-mail lofthouse@kaiserair.com.

KaiserAir, Inc. dates back to 1946 when it began as the flight department for the Kaiser companies founded by the late industrialist Henry J. Kaiser. Today it is a full-service aircraft management and maintenance company and fixed-base operator, specializing in the operation and maintenance of Gulfstream, Hawker, Cessna and other business jet aircraft. Thirty-three of Fortune Magazine’s Top 50 corporations make KaiserAir’s Executive Terminal their home when they conduct business in the San Francisco area.
