KaiserAir
Receives TAWS Certification For Gulfstream GIIB and GIII Aircraft
OAKLAND,
Calif. KaiserAir, Inc. has received Federal Aviation Administration
certification to install the Terrain Awareness Warning Systems,
now required on turbine aircraft by 2005, on Gulfstream GIIB and
GIII aircraft.
KaiserAir
can either perform a complete TAWS installation at its maintenance
facilities at Oakland International Airport or sell the TAWS hardware,
along with its STC (supplemental type certification) to clients.
Maintenance
facilities are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. KaiserAir
has more than 30 technicians on staff, and is certified by both
the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and the European Unions
Joint Aviation Authorities to work on a wide range of business jet
aircraft. It is one of the few maintenance facilities on the West
Coast to have its own wheel and brake department.
KaiserAir,
Inc. dates back to 1946 when it began as the flight department for
the Kaiser companies founded by the late industrialist Henry J.
Kaiser. A full-service management company and fixed-base operator,
it specializes in the operation and maintenance of Gulfstream, Hawker,
Cessna and other business jet aircraft.
Because
of Oakland's superior location and facilities, 33 of Fortune Magazines
Top 50 corporations make KaiserAirs Executive Terminal their
home when they conduct business in the San Francisco area.
